About
Rhani
Rhani Bam Chosun is probably the most loved
camel on the planet. She is a very energetic and vocal being.
Her family is constantly entertained by her crazy antics and
phycho-babble.
Without Rhani around, life would be pretty
boring.
The History of Rhani
Rhani was born in the Sahara Desert, about
25 years ago, although no one knows exactly when (and
she sure ain't telling!).
Rhani soon found the desert
too barren, too desolate, and far too short on summ-shummms. She joined a
caravan and set out for America.
A vicious sandstorm separated
poor Rhani from the rest of the pack. Confused, hungry, and
desperately alone, the little camel stumbled into a toy store
and collapsed in the corner.
A frenzied shopper trying to
make Christmas dreams come true for three wonderful (although
more than a bit demanding) little girls hurried into the store
and practically tripped over the sleeping camel. She scooped
up Rhani, threw some money on the counter, and hurried home
for Christmas Eve with her family.
When Rhani woke up, she was
lying under a gigantic tree, much larger than any of the cactuses
she'd ever seen in the Sahara and covered with brightly-colored
stars. She wondered where she was for a moment. Then, noticing
the bowl of water under the tree, the soft blanket beneath
her, and the plate of summ-shummms by the fireplace, she decided
she must be in heaven and drifted back to sleep.
The next thing she knew, Rhani
was staring up at some blond chicky who hugged the little
camel to her chest and said, "I'm your mumma now!"
Rhani blinked up at the girl for a moment, and then said hesitantly,
"Scumma?" She knew she
had found her new home.
Currently residing in Framingham, MA, Rhani
enjoys a spoiled and pampered existence. She loves making
friends and traveling (when she is allowed to), but most of
all, she just loves being a camel. And being loved.
Rhani has assembled this site to entertain
her friends, as well as to maintain a scrapbook of her own
fond camel memories. Some of her favorite adventures
and photos can be found here.
