Tropical Camel

It was October 2003, and Rhani couldn’t believe that another one of her lifelong dreams had come true. Her Scumma had gotten married and Rhani now had a wonderful new Papa! She felt so lucky to have 2 parents now. She was thinking of the benefits, like having another person to feed her summ-summms, to cuddle on the couch with, watch Sesame Street with, to tuck her into bed at night, and to travel with. She had never been happier. What she didn’t know, was that she was about to get another special surprise. Her Scumma and Papa had planned a honeymoon. Rhani didn’t know where they were going, but her parents told her she could come along. She was so excited that she did camel cartwheels all over the house!

Rhani packed all of her best clothes and sat at the front door waiting to depart. When it was time, she climbed into her travel bag and off to the airport she went. While waiting at the terminal, she snuck out of her bag to have a look around. She climbed up on the railing and looked outside. She saw the big airplane that was going to take her to a warm destination. The anxious camel cooed with delight. “I wuvs pwanes!”, she exclaimed.

After she boarded the plane and settled into the seat, she felt very tired. She waited until after take off, and then dozed off into a deep sleep. She only woke when it was time to beg her mother for scraps of airplane food. After what seemed like an eternity, the plane finally landed.
