Rhani's
Desert Romp
It was official. Rhani's nomadic roots
had begun to resurface.
Recently, Rhani had been dreaming
about voyaging back to the hot, dry, sandy, climate she had
lived in as a baby camel. She could remember bouncing around
in the sand dunes of her home land, frolicking with all of
her little camel friends. It was so much fun! One morning,
she awoke from one of these dreams, and decided to visit her
birth place, the Sahara desert.
But how could the
little camel get there? Rhani had been saving up all of her
allowance money, but didn't have enough for a plane ticket.
"I knows", she thought, "I will beg me Scumma
ta takesh me!".
Her mother said that
the Sahara was too far away for a camel so small, but she
did give Rhani permission to visit Sedona, Arizona. "There
is lots of sand there to play in", she told Rhani. Rhani's
bags were packed the next day.
Rhani was very excited as she rode to the
airport. When it was time to board the plane, she ran down
the ramp so fast she almost spilled her Starbucks coffee.
She
loved traveling in the plane, and made herself quite cozy
with the blankets and pillows. She loved the fact that smiling
people were always bringing her something to eat or drink.
"This is the life for me", she thought to herself.
A few hours later, she touched down
in Arizona and picked up her ride to
the hotel.
